The purpose of this document is to review the basic functions of MS Word. You may want to open a Word document to practice the steps as you read them.
Create a New Document
 Create a new document by opening up MS Word from your Launcher/Dock where you will be presented with the Project Gallery screen. Make sure the “Word Document” option is highlighted and click. PC users will click on the Word icon in the Applications Folder. A new Word document will open.Save your document by clicking the “Save” button in the toolbar. (TIP: To avoid losing any of your content, make sure to click on the “Save” button regularly.)
