Taking a Screenshot with Mac OS 9.2 (Advanced)

    1. Open the document or page you want for your screenshot. (For example, you might have Internet Explorer open with the page that shows your scores of an online quiz you just took which your teacher wants to see.)

2. Open PhotoStudio. Then:
  • Open a new document (from the File menu, click New ).
  • When the menu below appears, click on Screen shoot
  • and then click OK.

3. This message will appear:
  • Click OK.

4. Wait until your cursor turns into a pair of scissors.

5. Move your scissors to any corner of the picture/document you want to copy.
  • Click and hold your mouse button.
  • Move the scissors across the document until the dotted box is surrounding the part of the page you want to copy.

6. Let go of the mouse button. The part of the page you copied will appear as a PhotoStudio image, like this:

If you didn't capture the part of the page you wanted, just delete that image and start over.

7. Save your document in Student Storage. (File > Save as).
  • When the menu below appears, name your document appropriately, like LastNameFirstInitial_B01L04_RedTruck. DO NOT leave it as: Untitled.


  • Click Save.
